Sharjah24: Sharjah Charity International (SCI) started its first charity campaign supporting the “Distance Learning” initiative where the Charity provided AED 1 million to educational institutes to provide smart tablets to students from low income families, enabling them to continue their studies during the current situation.
Abdullah Sultan bin Khadem, Member of the Board of Directors and Executive Director at SCI, stated that SCI have provided financial support of AED 500,000 to Sharjah Educational Zone, AED 250,000 to Sharjah Private Education Authority, AED 100,000 to Sharjah Humanitarian Services City, and AED 100,000 to Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation to enable these entities to buy smart tablets for their students.

SCI have also allocated AED 500,000 to cover similar needs of students of low income families registered at the charity, he added.

Bin Khadim indicated that the SCI confirms its commitment to its social responsibility and its charitable role in line with its vision and goals to support the poor and the needy. He appealed to generous donors to support remote learning initiative to enable the SCI to help the largest possible number of students.
