Sharjah 24: During its meeting at Sharjah Municipality (SM), the Committee for the Evaluation and Classification of Contractors and Subcontractors in the Emirate of Sharjah discussed 39 applications, including 8 application related to issuing new licences.
The Committee for the Evaluation and Classification of Contractors and Subcontractors in the Emirate of Sharjah, which was established based on Sharjah Executive Council (SEC) Resolution No. (9) of 2019, to organise the exercise of the contracting business activities in the Emirate of Sharjah, held its second meeting this year, which was hosted by the Sharjah Municipality main building, headed by His Excellency Thabet Salem Al Tarifi, Director General of Sharjah Municipality and Chairman of the Committee, in the presence of all of the committee’s members to discuss many related topics, including the plans implemented to facilitate contractors to support the engineering sector in the Emirate.

At the beginning of the meeting, His Excellency Thabet Salem Al Tarifi, welcomed the members of the committee and praised their tangible efforts in organising the electoral process for the Sharjah Consultative Council (SCC), to achieve the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and addressed all the progress of Sharjah’s Municipal work, which comes under the keenness to achieve leaps in the field of investment, and reach a high level of development and growth through all the facilities and services provided by the Emirate.

The Director General of Sharjah Municipality maintained that this committee aims, since its formation, through Sharjah Executive Council (SEC) decision, to accomplish Sharjah’s visions in urban development, under the directive of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, to become an ideal investment destination.

At the end of the meeting, Eng. Khalifa bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, Assistant Director General of Sharjah Municipality Engineering and Building Sector and Chairman of the Technical Committee, invited all members of the committee to attend the second edition of Sharjah Engineering Forum, which is organised by Sharjah Municipality on January 21-22.
