Sharjah 24: Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, saluted the souls of the righteous martyrs of the homeland on their day.
In a statement on the occasion of the Martyr's Day, Major General Al Shamsi, on behalf of the Sharjah Police, said, “We are honoured on this glorious day of our people to stand by our sons and daughters, in appreciation and respect for the martyrs of the homeland who have given their pure souls and blood in defence of the soil, honour, dignity and respect of the homeland, and fought alongside their nation's sons the most honourable and noblest battles defending the right and legitimacy against injustice and aggression, thus they were the title of the greatest sacrifices recorded by history in the brightest letters.”

He continued: “We pay tribute to the mothers of the martyrs who brought up men, and presented to the homeland with contentment, believing that defence of the pride, honour and dignity of the homeland and safeguarding its gains is worthy of sacrifice with the very soul and blood.”

Al Shamsi also greeted the loyal leadership who have charted the path of glory and pride for their homeland and people, and positioned the homeland in the vanguard of progress, development, pride and prosperity, thus becoming worthy of sacrifice, deserving the deepest meaning of loyalty and gratitude.
