Shams, Al Batayeh Club sign MoU to support talents

Sharjah 24: Sharjah Media City (Shams) announced a two-year sponsorship for the main football teams and the futsal team at Al Batayeh Cultural and Sports Club, in addition to supporting the club with an ambulance. This was announced during the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two sides at Batayeh Cultural and Sports Club, Tuesday.
The MoU was signed by Shehab Al Hammadi, Director of Shams and Obaid Saeed Al Tunaiji, Secretary of Al Batayeh Cultural and Sports Club, in the presence of Dr. Khalid Omar Al Midfa, Chairman of Shams and Hamad Salem Bin Hamouda Al Ketbi, Chairman of Al Batayeh Club.

The sponsorship is in line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to empower youth, build a prosperous economy, create an environment that fosters talent in all its forms and types, as well as rehabilitate young Emirati sports figures.

Al Midfa said: "Shams is based on the international standards of innovation and is committed to continuously support innovative talents in various fields, where the success for us is an integrated system, meeting in one crucible which takes everyone highest success."

He added: “Shams is working hard to provide all opportunities to empower young people by supporting them in various fields through diversification of channels. We consider Al Batayeh Cultural and Sports Club as one of these distinctive channels for having a healthy and sporting environment ready to embrace talents and lead them towards the highest levels of professionalism. "

Al Ketbi praised the support and patronage provided by Shams to the community institutions in the emirate in general and to the club in particular, and thanked their efforts to support and enable sports talents in line with its commitment to sponsoring innovators in various sectors.

Al Tunaiji said that the club aims to develop its partnership with Shams to include all Club’s sports and cultural teams in the future, in accordance with the directives of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah.

In conclusion, the two sides stressed the importance of enhancing future cooperation in line with the vision of the federal and local governments.
