The visiting delegation toured the historical areas in Khorfakkan and Zubara where Eisa Yousif, Director of Archaeology and Tangible Heritage at SAA explained the role of the authority and its projects in supporting the local communities in all historical sites in Sharjah.

The visiting delegation valued the role of SAA as its efforts embody the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah of raising the awareness towards the importance of heritage and archaeology om the emirate.

Through surveying and research, SAA aims to record all archaeological sites in Sharjah being an important aspect of the historical identity and humanitarian legacy.
