Sharjah24- Reuters : Thousands of Argentines celebrated on the streets of Buenos Aires, on Tuesday, after Peronist leader, Alberto Fernandez, was sworn as President.
The rise of Fernandez, including Vice President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner, marks a shift to the left for Latin America's No. 3 economy as the country fights rampant inflation, credit default fears and rising poverty.

In his campaign for the Casa Rosa, Fernandez has criticised rising rates of hunger and poverty and said the country needed to revive growth to escape from "virtual default" after a period of painful austerity under outgoing conservative Mauricio Macri.

Speaking after his inauguration, Fernandez hit out at corruption charges facing his Vice President Cristina Fernandez as politically motivated.
