Sharjah24 – Reuters: Tens of thousands of people took to the streets of Paris and other French cities on Saturday (November 23) to protest against domestic violence, after more than 130 women are believed to have been killed by their partner.
"Solidarity with women around the world," protesters in Paris chanted as they carried placards bearing the names of female victims, their ages and their number in the list of victims.

Wearing purple, the symbolic color used by the women's rights movement, the demonstrators marched from Paris Opera to Nation square, numbering about 49,000 according to an independent count.

The demonstrations, led by the #NousToutes association, took place two days before the government is due to publish the results of an investigation into domestic violence.
