American countries agree on vaccine card for Venezuelan migrants

Sharjah 24 – AFP: Ministers and health authorities from eleven countries in the Americas agreed on Monday to create a single vaccination card for the thousands of Venezuelan migrants fleeing the deep crisis in their country.
Juan Pablo Uribe, Colombian Health Minister said, "A unified (vaccination) card that shows that our countries can work together according to care schemes and standards and protocols that allow us to be more effective in responding to this migration crisis."

Alex Azar, US Health and Human Services Secretary pointed out, "We the other countries in the Western hemisphere are committed to helping the Venezuelan people and the refugees from Venezuela with infectious disease, non-communicable disease and their health care needs."
