Sharjah 24 – Reuters: A graduate from London's Royal College of Art has created a music mixing tool which allows people to go "inside the mixing desk" using virtual reality.
Music production is moving away from the mixing board and becoming a total body experience, thanks to Virtual Reality.

Alex Kane is the creator of Volta- a music mixing tool which allows people to see music tracks and control them with their bodies- just by putting on a pair of VR goggles.

With drums, backing vocals and lead guitars appear as floating spheres to the user, the entire body is involved in the music making process.

The tool was Kane's thesis project which he has been working on for just over a year at London's Royal College of Art, he plans to make it available to the public in 2020 after its piloted with artists.
