Mona Sorour attends closing of ‘Response to Emergencies’ course

Sharjah 24: Colonel Mona Sorour, Acting Director of the Punitive and Correctional Department at Sharjah Police, witnessed the conclusion of the “Response to Emergencies” course, which kicked off last Sunday. The course aims to raise readiness of employees to respond to disasters, crises and other emergencies.
Captain Fahad Haikal from Human Rights Department of the UAE Ministry of Interior, and Masoud Yousuf Al Hosani, head of SANED voluntary team were present at the event.

The four-day course, which was launched in line with the Ministry of Interior's strategic objectives, dealt with several topics including readiness to emergencies, leadership skills, medical operations and safety in putting out fire, and search and rescue operations, first aid, as well as other related issues.

Suroor stated that the Sharjah Police constantly endeavours to develop the capabilities of its affiliates and benefits from the best expertise in the area of response to emergency according to changes that take place especially during the coronavirus pandemic, hailing the efforts of the organisers of the course.

Captain Fahad Haikal said that the affiliates have received theatrical and practical training that qualifies them to keep up with challenges, and familiarises them with advanced skills and expertise to develop their potentials in accordance with the best international practices in this regard.

The affiliates thanked and valued the organisers of the course for the skills and expertise they have received in responding and dealing with emergencies.
