Sharjah 24 – Reuters: The Israeli occupation army is deploying two additional brigades to the south of the country and calling up reservists after a rocket from Gaza hit a house in central Israeli occupation zone, injuring seven people.
In addition, it put out security instructions to halt agricultural work in the areas adjacent to the security fence with Gaza.

After-school activities in communities close to the border were cancelled.

Meanwhile in Gaza, most of the military posts and facilities as well as police stations and security headquarters were evacuated, while children at government-run schools were sent home. Gazans were stocking up on food in anticipation of an Israeli occupation offensive.

In Washington, Israeli occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu decided to cut short his visit in light of the rocket attack.

A joint statement by the armed wings of various Gazan faction said: “Our militants will strongly respond to any strike that target buildings or people and their properties.

The occupation’s strikes will be confronted with immediate strikes.”

The statement added that “there are Egyptian efforts to contain the situation and restore calm.”
