Al Qasimia University organizes scientific research forum

Sharjah24: Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and the founder of Qasimia University, Jamal Al Tarifi, the President of Qasimia University, inaugurated the second edition of the Scientific Research Forum. The forum was organized On Friday morning at the university theater, in the presence of board members, the university director, college deans, deputy directors, faculty members, and a distinguished group of invitees.
Jamal Al Tarifi, the President of the University, honored the faculty members who won the Qasimia University Award for Scientific Research, Teaching, University and Community Service, as well as the Qasimia University Award for Scientific Research for students. The sponsors and partners from participating institutions, government departments, and universities in the forum were also honored.

In his speech, Dr. Awad Al Khalf, the university director, emphasized the importance of scientific research and its positive impact on the progress and development of societies. He highlighted the significance of unifying efforts to create a stimulating research environment for students and researchers, by providing all the necessary support and resources that contribute to enhancing the scientific culture and deepening the spirit of research and knowledge. Al Khalf expressed his sincere gratitude to  the Ruler of Sharjah, and the founder of Qasimia University, for his generous patronage of the forum and his continuous and generous support to the university.

Dr. Muammar Baltayeb, the Deputy Director of the University of Sharjah for Research and Graduate Studies, who discussed the modern trends in scientific research in universities, the role of scientific research in developing academic institutions and improving their international rankings, and its importance in promoting social and economic development in Arab communities.

The university president and the guests also visited the scientific exhibition accompanying the forum, where they were briefed on the research projects and scientific publications of faculty members from the university's colleges and centers.

On the sidelines of the forum, a training workshop titled "Utilizing Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education and Scientific Research in the Humanities" was organized. It was presented by Dr. Mohammed Saleh, the Regional Director of the Health Sector in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, in collaboration with Microsoft. The workshop provided a valuable opportunity to explore how technology can be used to enhance the quality of education and develop research in the humanities field.
