Sharjah 24 – BNA: At least 16 individuals, primarily students, tragically lost their lives due to torrential rains in the Sultanate of Oman since Sunday.

The National Emergency Management System reported that 12 deaths occurred as individuals were swept away in their vehicles, including two citizens, a foreigner, and nine others. These incidents primarily affected students in the North Al Sharqiyah Governorate, located approximately 150 km east of the capital, Muscat. On Monday, the bodies of three people and a child were recovered.
