Sharjah 24: The Court of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, mourned the late Sheikh Saqr bin Rashid bin Saqr Al Qasimi, who passed away, on Sunday.

The following is the text of the statement: 

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.. with hearts faithful to God's decree and destiny, the Court of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, mourns the late Sheikh Saqr bin Rashid bin Saqr Al Qasimi, who passed away, on Sunday, Shaban 29, 1445 AH, corresponding to March 10, 2024.

Funeral prayer will be held for the deceased at ten in the morning, on Monday, at Al Sahaba Mosque in Sharjah, and then the body will be laid to rest at Al Jubail Cemetery.

Condolences will be accepted at the home of the deceased, located in the Hoshi area in the city of Sharjah, starting, on Monday, for a period of three days. 

The Court declared official mourning with flags flown at half-mast in the Emirate for a period of three days starting from March 10.

The Sharjah Ruler's Court extends its sincere condolences and sympathy to the family and relatives of the deceased and all Al Qasimi family, praying to Allah Almighty to rest his soul in Paradise.
