Sharjah24: In collaboration with strategic partners, Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority, the Sharjah Police General Command, represented by the Media and Public Relations Department, the Criminal Investigation Department, the Community Police Department, the Comprehensive Police Station Department, and the External Police Department, launched an awareness campaign under the slogan “Safe and Secure”.

Colonel Yousef Obaid Harmoul, Director of the Sharjah Police General Command's Comprehensive Police Stations Department, explained that the campaign has been running for a month, and its message is to educate shop owners and commercial establishments about the importance of implementing security and safety requirements in order to achieve the Sharjah Police General Command's objectives.

The campaign, according to Harmoul, includes a variety of awareness-raising activities in three languages (Arabic, English, and Urdu) on various establishments and shops throughout the Emirate of Sharjah, as well as the eastern and central regions, as well as a detailed explanation of how to prevent robbery.

The Director of the Comprehensive Police Stations Department urged shopkeepers and business owners to follow preventive and theft-prevention measures, and to report any serious threat or suspicious behaviour in any commercial establishment by dialling 999, which is reserved for emergency situations and serious accidents. Alternatively, they can call the Criminal Investigation Department's hotline at 80040, or hire a guard through the Sharjah Police General Command app.
