HQA honours Sheikh Al Hafiz from Iraq

Sharjah24: In accordance with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to honour the families of renowned Quran reciters in the Islamic world, Sheikh Sherzad Abdurrahman Taher, Secretary-General of the Holy Quran Academy (HQA) in Sharjah, honoured, today, the family of Iraqi veteran reciter Sheikh Al-Hafiz Khalil Ismail, may God have mercy on him.

Sheikh Sherzad conveyed His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi's greetings to Sheikh Khalil Ismail's family, highlighting His Highness's tireless efforts and keen interest in documenting and preserving Arab and Islamic history and heritage, as well as introducing future generations to the lives of famous pioneer readers. Sheikh Shirzad appreciated the reciters' families' initiatives and their gifts from the reciters' possessions to the Academy which serve as a record of their efforts in the service of the Holy Qur’an. 

Sheikh Al-Hafiz Khalil Ismail's family expressed their gratitude to His Highness, the Ruler of Sharjah, for his keen interest in disseminating the Holy Qur'an and its sciences, as well as preserving the Arab and Islamic nation's history, and prayed to God to protect him.

The families of the pioneer reciters of the Holy Qur'an have been honoured by His Highness, the Ruler of Sharjah, the Supreme  Chairman of the Holy Qur'an Academy in Sharjah. Sheikh Mahmoud Khalil al-Hussary, Mustafa Ismail from Egypt, Sheikh Abdul Rahman bin Musa from Morocco, and Sheikh Bakri Al-Tarabishi from Syria were among the Quran reciters' families honoured.
